A newsletter is posted on the AVPS website twice per term. Please click on the links above to access these.
All AVPS newsletters are web based, which allows community members to change the language in the top left section of the page. We recommend reading our newsletter on a large screened device, such as a laptop.
AVPS community members will receive a compass alert, including a direct link to the newsletter when it is available.
AVPS generally allows publication of flyers from local 'not for profit' organisations, that are of benefit to children or community members.
These appear in the 'Ascot Vale Community Noticeboard' section at the end of our newsletter.
If you wish to advertise in our newsletter please email the school with a jpeg file of the advertising material to ascot.vale.ps@education .vic.gov.au
Paper brochures or handouts will NOT be accepted or distributed by the office.

Curriculum News
The latest AVPS 'Curriculum News' appears below.
This outlines the curriculum content covered throughout each term to parents and carers, which helps facilitate learning conversations with children about school and learning.
Here are some great questions to ask your child about their school day.
- What was the most interesting thing you learned today?
- What was the most challenging part of your day?
- Is there something new you learned that you'd like to teach me?
- Did you work with a group today? What was that like?
- Was there a time today when you felt proud of yourself or someone else?
- Tell me about a conversation you had with a classmate or teacher that made you smile.
